2011 Winter Swap: Earmarks

This is a small watercolor sketchbook that I originally made awhile ago. It has 24 pages of 90lb. watercolor paper, bound using a chain stitch. The cover is handmade book cloth using wheat paste, rice paper and wool material. It's from some of my first attempts make book cloth, so it's not perfect, but I think the imperfection adds to its charm. To finish it all off, I added a elastic closure with a machine sewn fabric flower that complements the endpapers. --Elizabeth of Earmarks

The stitched flower adds a lovely detail on the cover and looks like it complements the endpapers very beautifully.
