2011 Winter Swap: FeedingTheLake

This long-stitched journal will keep your thoughts cozily contained inside its grey jersey knit (t-shirt material) cover backed with canvas. The cover is home to a red and blue silkscreened monoprint with machine stitching, contains 80 pages of 80 lb. Mohawk Superfine paper, and is bound with linen thread. --Katie of FeedingTheLake

Beautiful book! How did you do the monoprint? Was it with acrylics or printers inks?

A lucky recipient should be happy, thanx for sharing with us all.

Thanks for your kind words, Duane!

I use textile paints for the silk screening.

I love the asymmetrical design and the mixture of thread and printed textures. Very nice!
