2011 Winter Swap: Prairie Peasant

My book reminds me of cotton candy, so I've called it the Cotton Candy Journal. It was inspired by a visit to my local art recycling centre (Arts Junktion). I found the cute button and the paper for the pages and the covers there. The paper for the pages was donated by a local credit union who changed their colours. The paper on the covers was a calendar for a car dealership in a previous life. It is bound with a double needle coptic binding which leaves a nice chain stitch on the spine. This colourful book was fun to make! -- Laura of PrairiePeasant

It would be impossible to write anything sad in such a happy book! I love it!

Wonderful book, so light and airy. I think the luscious colors just cry to be used for sketching and drawing. Thanx for sharing with us all.
