2011 Spring Swap: CinderLisa Design

Given the 'fits in an envelope' theme, I wanted to make something that was unique and fun. Thinking about this theme brought me back to the very first book I had ever made, some eight years ago—which was out of origami. I no longer had the book I'd learned from, but I found the instructions online and set to work. These three little books are each made from a single piece of square paper—cover and all. I forgot to measure them before sending, but I'd guess the larger two are about 1.5 x 2.5 inches, and the tiny one is about .5 x .75 inches. Each book has ten pages back and forth of usable space. The larger books are made with 12 x 12 inch scrapbooking paper, and the small book is made with a 2.5 inch square of scrap paper. --Lisa of CinderLisaDesign

Those are fun little books! I love how it's made of one piece of paper--a trick to the eye.

Those structures are fascinating - can you share where you found the instructions? That teeny book is adorable!

Thanks all! I can't seem to find the same youtube video that I got the instructions from, but there's another one here that seems as good if not better:
