2011 Spring Swap: UsefulBooks

In the process of playing around with paint and Kraft paper a couple of years ago, I developed a cover material that I use to make soft cover books. It's flexible, strong and wonderfully textured, resembling leather but cruelty free. I knew that Laura of Prairie Peasant, a fellow EcoEtsy member, would enjoy this little double pamphlet book made from a piece of this material and scraps of paper from larger projects. --Cindy of UsefulBooks

This is lovely, I really like the imitation leather look, and you've decorated it so prettily!

I admire Cindy's work so much, and I am so very happy that this will be coming my way! (I might have to wait a little while though as Canada Post is going on strike next Wednesday.)

Ack! Post to Canada is slow enough! Sorry, Laura. What a pain that will be for business there. So sorrry!

Such a pretty book. I love the cover material and the butterfly. The Double Pamphlet idea is clever - I've never seen this type of binding before (or not made this way anyway). Laura is very lucky!

I am very lucky, and received this in the mail today! This book is even more beautiful in person. I especially love the subtle stamping on the covers.

And the postal strike in Canada has been delayed at least a week (but hopefully averted).
